Lunch at b.good

Sometimes when I'm walking around the Back Bay and hungry, I want something quick and easy.  However, the food court at the Prudential Center leaves me a bit wanting and I always end up spending a more money than I necessarily want to at one of the many restaurants in the area.  Recently I was walking up Dartmouth and decided to hit up b.good, a restaurant that prides itself on serving "food made by people, not factories."

Real People!
b.good has signs on the wall that share the names and stories of the people who produced the food you are eating that day.  It's great to eat good food while supporting local farms - all for a decent price point.

Burger!

Naturally I got the burger, which comes with a wide variety of topping options.  In this instance, I could not resist some cheese and avocado.  The burger was pretty tasty and I could not get over the amount of avocado piled on top!  There can never be too much avocado, in my humble opinion.  The bun was fresh, a bit too thick, but that was basically forgiven since it was so light and airy.

Inside the burger
Nick and I split a side of the fries, which were a lovely golden color and not too greasy.  These were the perfect burger accompaniment.

Fries
Nick and I both got burgers, sodas, and shared a side a fries for under $20, still a better price point than if we had sat down at a local restaurant.  While it may be a bit more expensive than other fast(er) food, the local ingredients and knowing you are supporting local farmers helps justify the extra couple of dollars.  Quality food you feel good about eating at a good price point - not too shabby!

  2. I agree with you - "too much avocado" is a phrase that should never be spoken. ;)

  3. We went to the b.good in Dedham, and they forgot to make our food and without our even complaining, they gave us our money back... which I thought was really great customer service. The food's good in a pinch.
